Lexicon Omega and Cubase 4 LE Help please

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have recently acquired a Lexicon Omega with the bundled Cubase LE4 from this very forum, I have installed everything on my PC running Windows 7, but just can't get the damn thing running, the unit works with headphones but I cant get the software to talk properly to it.

Any suggestions or maybe other software that might work with it.

Cheers

It's sure to work with Reaper - download here... http://www.cockos.com/reaper/download.php

Down and install > open program> options> preferences > audio> device> set audio system to ASIO and input/output to lexicon> click ASIO configuration button to set buffer as low as you can get away with (without any glitches, popos, crackles, etc).

Go to insert>track when track appears click the red circular button to arm recording> click record button on main transport bar to record.

good luck

Never got on very well with the omega. A proper pain to install properly and seems to be extremely temperamental and the panel is needlessly complicated. Tried for a long time on different systems with very little success and it no longer works at all. Having said that, it should work fine with pretty much any software, and compatibility shouldn't be an issue. I get on really well with my alesis io4 which is fantastic for the money and takes a helluva beating.
