bigjohn
Classy. 2 questions : 1) Where did you get the neck from? 2) How did you cut the body? Nice one. John

And I'd have put chrome stack knobs on it. Each to their own innit. Beautiful bass though. Lovely neck. I want one.
spree
hi gents, thanks for the comments I do have a black pickguard for it, but the highlight of the grain would be hidden underneath a pickguard, and a clear one doesnt appeal to me either. As for the control plate, i dont like the aesthetic of rear routed jazzes.
paul, the
Is the fretboard Brazilian rosewood? It's very dark (and that's a very good thing). And that bridge is hot. +1 on the bass looking awesome, great job! Edited March 27, 2008 by paul, the
kdphysio
i've never really considered 'building' my own bass, but with all these current build-diary threads, it's giving me a strange, tingling GASsy feeling!

Though I did oil it until it wouldnt absorb anymore The bridge is a Hipshot A, first time i've used one and am very impressed with it
neepheid
+1 for the Hipshot A. Highly adjustable and well beefy. The only 2 reasons I'm not using one for my Zebrano Wideboy 5 is that only the Badass V has a base plate big enough to hide the daft holes that I had to fill and the BA has a little more scope for intonation adjustment, which might be useful as I might have to be a little creative with the neck pocket.
