Crez thats exactly what i need but it does seem like they are going to be pricy. I think i am going to have to get a usb interface for the time being. When Apple dropped the ADB, serial ports and SCSI from Macs in the 90s few of the adaptors that appeared worked for audio/MIDI applications and none of them reliably. Audio and MIDI are far more demanding and what might be a slight slow-down in transfer for a standard device can be far more problematic when dealing with data that is timing critical like multi-track audio and MIDI data. Also IME FireWire interfaces are much more susceptible to hardware and software incompatibilities.
