jonniejames Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Me again, sorry everyone. The Warwick has a buyer so I'm posting a new ad just for the Spector, I'm open to all offers and please bear in mind this guitar is in great condition, built in 2008 and retailed originally at $3299.99 (about £2,100) I'm not expecting anything near that, neither do I want to be insulted with a really low offer. I also am not looking to trade for another bass, sorry. I am willing to drive to meet the buyer within reason.
ahpook Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 you have to state a price - them's the rules.
jonniejames Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Oh, sorry. Didn't check da rules! I would ideally like £800 as I paid £900 just under a year ago and this bass hasn't been gigged much, literally it's done a month on a cruiseship. Thanks
Evil Undead Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) I'm confused. In the other thread you listed the price as £600... Edit: just double checked in case I was looking at the price for the warwick, but nope, definitely says £600 for the Spector. Edited November 23, 2011 by Evil Undead

You're entitled to ask what you want for it, but that's bad form...

Sorry Bigwan [/quote] No worries - wouldn't have noticed anyway - still haven't got my head around the new forum features... but now you point that out I shall display my displeasure by using the feature forthwith!
jonniejames Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 Thanks for pointing that out, it hasn't gone up in value overnight! To be honest, I don't know what to ask for this bass and I'm not allowed to ask for an offer.
thepurpleblob Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 It's not hyper-rare, so I would start by doing a search and seeing what others are asking for them. Asking for offers is pretty pointless - people don't like to do that I find.
jonniejames Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) ok, thanks you miserable cat! Well, seeing as previously I was only asking for £600 and so I don't acquire a dodgy reputation, £600 is what I'm asking for, final answer. Edited November 23, 2011 by jonniejames
fabinosto Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Hi Jonniejames shipping to France is possible ? Thanks

jonniejames Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 Yes, shipping to France is possible. PM me if you would like me to organise this...
jonniejames Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I've had a quote of £42 to send this bass to Glasgow with the option of an added £35 for insurance. Bringing the total to £77.

In the circumstances, the OP has been straightforward, and admitted error/mistake. So, barring clarification by a moderator, I'd say it was a fair point to highlight the conflicting prices.
