If you do paint it you could mask off a small box around the number so that the original number remains exposed. If you do, I'd take photos beforehand if you need proof at a later date. Quote

Cat Burrito Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I too would box around the number but to be fair if you are spraying the neck it'll impact on resale value anyway. That said it's a modern MIM Fender, not a 1951 original so you gotta do what you want to enjoy it. Quote
