Grimalkin Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Every year I compose a little Christmas ditty that tries to encapsulate the last few years of our experience. This year it's titled: "Merry Pisstmas (Drinking to Forget)". Quote
Piers_Williamson Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 What a great thread! No one has actually said who had the misfortune to play the bass part on this...... Quote

I never knew Estus was taught by Jamerson: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deon_Estus Quote

Apart from the Sleigh Bells, it was all recorded on Synths. I think most know about the infamous LinnDrum track and the Snare fills (). I think the Synth/Keyboard work was all done on a Roland Juno. George Michael played all the parts himself; I believe. Quote

Nothing like that for keeping all the royalties to one's self 1 Quote

At least my foray into bass playing hasn't hasn't sunk low enough to end up playing for the likes of Wham! It's a great Christmas song, and Wham made some fantastic pop songs. It almost as if they had a really talented singer/songwriter in the band. 1 Quote
Guest Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 I refused to play Last Christmas last year, and fortunately the band agreed. I've heard car alarms of greater musical interest. Quote
