fraff Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Oh no, Devi in Portland has announced on facebook that she's is building another batch of Truly Beautiful Disasters. Devi Ever FX facebook Devi Ever TBD I have no funds or, let's be honest, need for this pedal. However.... Form an orderly queue, behind me! Quote
GarethFlatlands Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 As cool as that looks and sounds, I doubt I'd find a use for it. How much was it out of interest? Quote
fraff Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 They're not cheap. RRP on the new batch is $300, though Devi's cut me a bit of a deal. I'm planning to use it across a host of things (drum machines, guitar, keys) so hopefully I'll get the value out of it... Quote
Sibob Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I have to say....and I'm sure its just down to how I listened to the samples.....but every sound was very very similar?! Looks nice though lol Si Quote
charic Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Very weird pedal, I can see it being a little bit difficult to get it to cut through a mix though. Quote
fraff Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Oh I dunno Si - I think that it gives all sorts of nuanced disgustingness!! As for where it sits in the mix, I'd agree that it might struggle in a busy mix, but I'm hearing it as the main dirt effect on things that are very stripped down. That's the plan anyhoo! Quote
