Hey guys, I need a few opinions!
so I currently own a Ashdown ABM 500RC which goes into a Ashdown 4x10, I also use a sansamp bass Driver DI, now I have the opportunity to buy a Ampeg SVT 3-PRO (1995). My question is should I sell my Ashdown in order to buy the Ampeg or keep the Ashdown? sadly both are not a option :)

seems a tad pointless, I have heard the sansamp gives a great tube sound. Plus you have matching head and cab which looks cool too.

Your just going to be paying a few hundred quid for a sound you would probably get from your current setup mate.

All seems to make sense to me. Plus, I`ve always thought that Ampeg amps seem to work best either with their own cabs, or other makes that slightly "scoop" the sound, though I don`t know Ashdowns cabs and if they colour the sound or not.

Agree with all the above really, but... Ampeg? Ashdown? Eh? ...Eh?
Try the Ampeg without the SansAmp.

Fair doos,,,I dont really care enough to get pernickety. Just saying what I think.

But to the OP,,,,you will chase a 'sound' that you will never quite get,,,then once you think you have it, you will jump on the next sound...If what you have is working for you, then KEEP IT.
