Jono Bolton
I'm looking for a new bridge for my Jazz, something to increase sustain and improve intonation on the original one, but isn't a Badass II (or III, or I). I've got one on it already but I don't really like the way it looks. I'd prefer something a bit more traditional looking, but I don't want the sound to suffer as a result. Any suggestions? nick
I got a no-name cast bridge new off Ebay for about £12. Bit heavier in construction, saddles tracked to prevent sliding, similar design to original. Didn't like the look of Badass & seemed a bit overkill for what I wanted. Works a treat

Wil
I find the stock fender bridge on my MIA Jazz is perfect. Didn't like the one on my old MIM P though, it kept undoing and sliding around. It could be that the bit of tin fender bridge works better with string through body, though.
BassBod
I always liked the Schaller 3D, although it needs new 3 holes. They were very popular in the 70's before you could get the Badass easily in the UK. I'm sure I've got an old one here somewhere if anyone fancies trying it out? Stewart
I quite like the Hipshot vintage bridge - there's a pic here:

I've got a Gotoh 201 on my fretless Precision. More substantial that the Fender bridge, but looks better than a Badass (IMO). They're also a lot cheaper than the Badass. Jono Bolton
Googling the 201, they're $30 from Warmoth, which is approx. £15. Dunno what the postage would be like (anyone ordered from there?) but it's low enough so I avoid customs and horrible things like that. Anyone want a Badass II?
