Commenting on for sale section prices?

I've kept out of this so far because I've hardly ever used the sales section of Basschat and not at all in the last few years.

However my feeling is this. The seller can ask whatever they like for an item. The only time I would query it, would be if I was negotiating to buy and then it would be done by PM.

If you're not actually trying to buy the item why does it matter if it's overpriced?

IMO sale threads should consist of a single post containing the relevant information and photos and that's it.

Never happen, for the very simple reason that in a free market people are free to keep reminding everybody about their stuff (keeping your product in the public's thoughts is one of the cornerstones of meerkating), and it's up to everybody else to decide whether they're being too pushy and complain or report.

Also, like someone said before, prices in the rest of Europe are not the same as in the UK for some gear sometimes. The second hand market in each country is regulated by offer and demand, like over here. Basschat is UK based, but non UK residents are accepted and are free to buy and sell. If someone in Italy adverts something that looks expensive to us here in Britain, that might appeal to someone in, say, Poland for example.
