oli@bass Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Up for sale or trade is A01140, a beautiful 20th Anniversary StingRay, born on the 23rd of May in 1996. This is a rare model made by Ernie Ball to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the StingRay bass in 1996. This StingRay unique features are an ash body with highly figured maple top, translucent red body back and wood body binding, back mounted electronics without front control plate, glued on tortoise shell pickguard, countersunk neck plate (like on the early Sterling models), 20th Anniversary Limited Edition silkscreen logo on the headstock and a birdseed maple neck with oil & wax finish. The instrument is in excellent almost like new condition with very little play wear. It has been played but very well cared for. There are a couple of small dings which are impossible to get shown on pictures. It's sounding great and is very comfortable to play. I've only played this bass in my smoke free living room and it has never been gigged. This is the second lightest StingRay I've come across, with a weight of only 3.97 kg (8.75lbs)!
