robdowall Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Im thinking about upgrading a Proel 6 unit rack case. its getting a bit worn and flimsy! What are some other rackmount case companies to look up (hardcases not bags!) needs to be tour worthy!! thank you! Quote
Benplaysbass Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I've gone cheap and just ordered a Thomann eco one, not sure of the quality until it gets here. Quote
Mykesbass Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Just got a cheapish Citronic one - pretty nasty to be honest, but couldn't justify the additional cost of a better one at the mo. Quote
eddiehoffmann Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Here's where I bought mine: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/ They have all sorts of options whatever your budget is. Next day delivery if you order something that's in stock. Cheers Quote
Ed_S Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I've always found Gator and SKB very solid, and have just picked up a Swan Flight sleeve that appears to be very well built. Boschma are supposed to be good, though I've never used one. Quote

LiamPodmore Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Boschma, Gator, SKB, or Spider/Flightcase Warehouse would be my choices. Liam Quote
BigRedX Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 How "tour-worthy" do you need? Shockmounts? Quote
risingson Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I currently have a 'Rockcase' rackmount. It's not brilliant but it does the job. I've owned shockmounted rackcases also and found them to be cumbersome for what I do, but certainly if you're going to be running something all valve for example, it's probably going to be worth the investment in the long term.
