Bass withdrawl: the shakes are setting in :(

Hey guys,

Just joined, although I've already done some lurking :)

Some background on me;
I used to play guitar off and on, until a friend of mine asked if I'd like to try his bass, and as soon as I played I got hooked. The friend then set me up with a band a few of his friends were putting together, and from there on in it was a steep learning curve to playing live gigs in a matter of months :) bought myself a cort gb34 and a 300W ashdown combo. But unfortunatly the band had to split after a year, and financial pressures meant I had to sell the bass and amp. Now a few months on I'm pining badly, starting to get the itch, so some furious saving is underway for the perfect bass, although right now I'd settle for anything with 4 strings :)

I don't think anybody but a fellow bass player could understand the pain of being bassless :o

Anyhoo see you around the forum...

Welcome.
Conversely, I have a good collection, but simply don't have the time or inclination to even touch them at the moment.
Life's funny like that.

My lad came home from Uni yesterday, he was recording n the afternoon, arrived in the evening and exchanged pleasantries for an hour before, as if he was desperate for the loo, he 'had' to go and play his bass and disappeared for an hour.

Oh, and welcome aboard, btw, although you'll probably need a a lock on your wallet or find a nightshift!
