Flatwound Strings on a CV Jazz Bass?

I like them a lot, but never tried the GHS, so a bit curious as I would love it if the GHS were a "bit" less bright than the D'Addarios... it's D'Addario, not Dimarzio!!!

Had Rotosound Flats on CV Jazz in order to try and replicate feel and tone of a '64 Relic . With proper vintage pickups and wiring it may have got close eventually. I'd say the fine frets lend themselves to Flats more than rounds.
