Anyone got a Warmoth Gecko?

I REALLY like the look of the Warmoth Gecko basses. Has anyone here got or played one? I was just wondering what they are like.

but in answer to your question - no haven't got one and no idea if they are any good or not - general Warmoth reuptation seems to be quite good but what do I know?

I read a review of one, a 5-string I think, which commented on how neck heavy it was. That worried me.

The only negative I ever hear about Warmouth is the extra steel rods in the neck - this can make them heavier than a "standard" neck. I guess this is more noticable with a heavier exotic wood neck?? I'd love to see one of their fender necks to find out.

Hi, I have a fretless 6 string gecko that I assembled myself. The workmanship of the components is excellent and the finished instrument is absolutely superb. Doesn't seem neck heavy to me,and the overall weight is quite reasonable too,about 9.5lbs. Geoff.
