Cat Burrito Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Exposure doesn't get much better than 5 mins on national TV in the US. Really a feature on the singer but we all appear http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7390313n Even if you don't like our music we have some interesting characters in the band Quote
warwickhunt Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Excellent coverage... and the music IS good! Quote
LukeFRC Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 well I started listening to that and thought "you're right what is this music" but by the end I was annoyed that they were chatting over the top of it.... it sounds good- have you got a link to your myspace/bandcamp/whatever? Quote
flyfisher Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Great stuff - but isn't it typical how most of the band shots managed to exclude the bass player! Quote
That's one of my favourite things about being a bass player. That and making other guys' girlfriends booties move up and down without them realising... Hehe. Quote
gary mac Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Nice one Tim and the band does sound rather good. Quote
Clarky Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Nice one Tim! Glad to have seen you guys play live before fame and fortune went to your heads Quote
Nibody Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011
Great stuff - but isn't it typical how most of the band shots managed to exclude the bass player!
Nice country rock sound, guy has a good voice - also noticed they DID manage to film the banjo player!!!! Wife has got me a banjo for christmas - I've always wanted one, will just have to learn how to play it!! Quote
RhysP Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Fantastic stuff! I'll have to check out the album, as it sounds very much like the sort of thing I'm really getting into lately. Quote
Lozz196 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Nice one Tim, very pleased for you and the band. Quote
RhysP Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011
Is Pete a Scot??
I thought I detected a slight Welsh twang to his voice. First sign of him becoming famous & we're all trying to claim him as our own! Quote
Bassman Sam Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Great stuff Tim and yes, an interesting character. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011
Nice one mate! Is Pete a Scot??
Yes, he's from Elgin originally but lived here since the 80s. We're from the Thames Valley area but the drummer was born in Scotland too & I have a lot of family roots up there too. I don't think we have any Welsh roots in the band Rhys unfortunately Quote
swanbrook Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Great clip, I am also listing to a lot of country rock at the moment because of an original artist I am playing with. Looks like a fun band too Quote
mart Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Good stuff, and another album to add to my wishlist! Quote
Cat Burrito Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 Milking this thread with a 2 minute follow up piece on CBS the next day http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7390432n&tag=mncol;lst;1 Quote
skankdelvar Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Milk away, Sir. I played some of your band's output to my guitar-chum, who remarked "Ooh. Nice rhythm section. Proper for that sort of stuff." . Edited December 5, 2011 by skankdelvar Quote

Pete seems like a nice guy, and what a day job! He's been right in the middle of some pretty serious & historically significant stuff by the look of it. Quote
