Venue Review Wiki : What's your next gig going to be like?

I'm not sure this has been done on BC, let me know if it has.

I thought venue reviews by members who have played somewhere could be very useful for info if you are about to gig there. It needs to be easily searchable. How about this format, any other suggestions? We could probably do something similar for promoters too perhaps?

Maybe this should be a subforum like the BC Member Feedback subforum? And search the subforum for a venue before posting your review?

[b]House Amplification?: A Fender tweed twin, may no be the venue's. Best to check.[/b]

Any other comments?: The place was full of good natured Gooners post-match drinking when we arrived, some were clearly interested in the music.

Good idea Nige - Mods, I'd vote for this.

Edit: Having tried to complete one, I soon realised that this format works best for "proper" venues. Trying to use it to describe music pubs is a bit OTT. If the idea is picked up, then I may prepare a modified version for us pub-rock bands.

Nice idea. If it does get it's own sub forum it might be worth making it only accessible to members so the Google bots can't get at it. Anyone who's even slightly disparaging towards a venue with their band name in their signature might find their booking dry up.

Tis a good idea,but as above, maybe a subsection for Pub/take your own P.A and Venue with in house FOH and engineer.

Very good point! I've never played anywhere that didn't have a PA so hadn't really thought of that. Thanks.

Also, I did take a few pics of the Silver Bullet but they came out too dark to be much use.
