Hey all,

Been recommended this site by a friend, Stephen - I'm currently registered on talkbass.com and I run www.blackpoolbands.co.uk.

I play in a band called "Hind-D" based in Blackpool - after 2 years of looking we've finally got a singer so we will be gigging big time again soon Check us out on www.hindd.co.uk or www.myspace.com/hindd. We're hard rock / metal, and will be getting some vocals on our tracks very soon (recording this weekend). Looking for gig swaps, so if anyone likes our stuff, give me a PM

I also run a studio at my house - 24 channel Sountracs desk and 2x8x8 M-Audio Delta 1010's running Neundo 3. Various mics etc...

My set up is as follows:

Ampeg SVT-4 PRO Head
Ampeg 810HPC 8x10 bass cab
Ibanez BTB 556MP 6 string bass (main)
Fender Jazz Active Deluxe 4 string (back up)
Just sold my Boss GT6-be and I'm moving on to single pedals. Currently got:

* Line6 Echo Park

Looking to buy (asap):

* Compressor Pedal (EBS MultiComp OR Demeter Compulator)
* Tuner (Korg Rackmount or Korg Pedal)
* Some really, really nice distorition for metal. Tried the following distortion / fuzz pedals:

* Ken Multi Fuzz MFZ-7
* All the distortion settings on the GT6-be - only one, low rumbly fuzz with the bass turned all the way to +50, is near to what I want
* EHX Big Muff Russian (currently for sale)
* EHX Big Muff USA

Want something that's got a lot of low end, and cuts through...

I'm a bit of a gear whore, as you can probably tell by now ;P

And oh yeah, certainly not new to GAS ;P It's a term I've been well and truely in bed with for a few years now... keeps getting the cold shoulder, but it's back again at the moment for pedals :|
