However I've since decided not to messs with it as I love the tone I get from the bass passive. The pre amp is the Deluxe 3 band model with passive tone. and 3 way Z mode. Its mounted on a standard Jazz plate to slot straight in to a Jazz bass. The control are Vol - Mid/Balance - Treble/Bass - Passive tone. Also has the 3 way Z switch which does IIRC Low Z - Mid Z and High Z. It even has a swish blue LED to show battery strength. I want what I paid which was £70 open to trades for Headphone / Practise amps. Something like the Pandora PX4D and the like.
