KarlWhite Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 hey im interested in the bass, would just like some information on it really, ive never seen them whats the body made out of and the neck, im guessing the neck is rosewood and mahogany, the colours nice when and where did these originate from? i have a fender usa a jazz bass standard and im after an active atm.
lewyyy Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 I think the neck is maple with rosewood finger board, no idea to what wood the body is. Originates from Corona Californina USA It's pretty ideal if you're looking for an active as this does both active + passive. It has a 4 way toggle to flick between Mute, Active, Active, Passive Hope this helps Lewy
Thor Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I've got the 5 string version of this - the body on that is made of Alder. Superb bass for the money - good luck with the sale.
lewyyy Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 Thanks Thor. They are a great bass indeed
steve-soar Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 (edited) The Kubicki preamp is absolutely incredible. A made in the USA Jazz Bass, with the great colour and a case, for half the price of a Stu Hamm signature model, with very little wear, is in my opinion a real bargain. I had the pleasure to do a repair on a Stuart Hamm Fender Urge mark I bass, a while ago. It was simply amazing. They sound and play like nothing else. This is a lot of bass for £400. BTW, is this a 32" scale? Just found out that they are not 32" scale. Edited December 27, 2011 by steve-soar
lewyyy Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 It's really great sounding, get loads of different sounds out of it and it has a nice feel. I'm sad to see it on the FS section again but I could really use the money. I think it's 34''
lewyyy Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Not for sale at the moment guys. Didn't expect this thread to resurface again! Managed to sell other gear to save this one. Thanks for the interest.
