gerryc
I play in a fairly loud pub rock band, however this Sunday the guitarist and myself are going to an open mic night at a local pub where the only amplification is a guitar amp and the PA. My question is (and I think I know what the answer will be) I'll be using a Shuttle 3 and thinking of taking DI out to the PA, would I also need a speaker load connected? chris_b
you don't have valves so the answer is no, the amp will be ok without a speaker. I'd take one for your own monitoring though.
Ghost_Bass
only if you want a speaker monitoring your self. your amp (like all other transistor amps) works perfectly fine without the load. Just one thing, you can keep your master volume knob down so that you're no sending unneeded signal to the power stage.
