ficelles Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) Ok I have here a set of Super Silvers 140SS that I bought new which have been on my upright for a couple of months, played at home but never gigged and never bowed, lovely sound but I can't get on with the feel of nylon so have just fitted a set of Braideds. TPJ Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Do these feel "plasticy"? I've played Honeys with the metal outer wrap and am wondering how these feel in comparison.
ficelles Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 Well they don't feel anything like the chrome wrap Braideds I just fitted which I guess are much the same as Honeys... they feel I guess much like gut strings, i.e. slightly rough to the finger with some friction. Which I guess is the point! ficelles
