Stompbox
Here is my great Yamaha RBX374 bass guitar with active electronics. I'm looking for £150, plus postage, or may trade against a bass amp. head, or an Epiphone Dot or "Jazz" style semi acoustic guitar. It’s finished in gloss black, with a satin finish in black on the back of the neck & headstock. The fittings are all in “Black Chrome” which looks really great- It also comes with a basic black canvas gig bag. The bass has active tone controls, so there is an overall volume, a treble cut/boost, a bass cut/boost, and a mix control so you can go from one pickup to another or have a mix of different proportions of both pickups. The fingerboard is rosewood and it has a 34” scale length. The bass balances really well when you’re playing it as the long upper horn keeps it from being neck heavy when you use a shoulder strap. The pickups are humbuckers, so there is no buzzing or humming even when you are on top of an amplifier with its volume right up – really good on stage! The active electronics mean that you also get a very even string balance across all the strings – with a passive bass, you tend to get a very loud low E string, getting quieter as you go up to the G. Here’s a link to the Yamaha site:- http://usa.yamaha.co...374/?mode=model - and here’s one for Chappells music – a good large picture on this as if you click on it, as well as a typical price new. I’m in Morecambe so if you're local & want to come over to try it please let me know so that can arrange for you to call. I'm happy to pack the bass & send it off - or you could call, pay cash & save the postage charges which are getting more and more expensive, or I will come out to meet you within a reasonable distance. proy900
so glad the look isn't ruined by having a maple back to the neck. Very nice bass - have always liked black basses. If i hadn't have just bought a peavey fury i'd have definitely had this at a very reasonable price. This model was my first ever bass (not that this is an entry level bass at all) and served me well for a few years.
