Silvia Bluejay
This thread is an excellent idea, thank you. It would be great if we could have either links to websites or text that's formatted so that it's easier to read, with addresses and email as opposed to just phone numbers. ceilidhswinger
Great idea! Up here in Scotland there are a few instrument repairers but I use Dave Ewan 07729974818 Perthshire.
2wheeler
Koplin Violins. They are relatively new and I have not seen a lot of examples of their work. However, they did a superb cosmetic repair to Christian Topman's double bass (previously owned by John Thorne) after it got deeply scored. Also they have some good instruments in stock. I am taking my double bass there for a string/fingerboard/bridge pickup set-up and I will try to remember to update this with the results.
