Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synth

Hi - I'm really getting into effects pedals at the moment but struggling to find a great deal of information on what's the best pedal around for getting a synth or moog type sound.

The EHX Bass Micro Synth sounds pretty tempting and it looks like you can get a lot of variety out of this pedal, but from reading a couple of reviews it sounds pretty tricky to nail down the exact sound you want.

I was wondering if there are other similar or better pedals out there before I make a decision.

Would appreciate any experiences you have with this or other synth pedals
