charic Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 3 years ago I gave on playing Black Betty, signed it off as being out of my league. Sat down at my computer the other day and spotted it there and thought why the hell not and gave it another go, still not close. 10 minutes ago I nailed it! I'm not consistent on it yet but bloody hell am I chuffed! Quote

charic Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 Thanks all, Can't really express how chuffed I am and can honestly say I don't think I would be there if it wasn't for a great lesson with dood a while back. Next challenge is a symphony x track (its either paradise lost or a fools paradise I can't remember which). Quote
Blademan_98 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Well done! Nailing a groove is always special I hope to get one right soon........ Quote
Deep Thought Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I did a similar thing back along with 'Rhythm Stick'. I can play the full length version of Black Betty, but don't. Quote
charic Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 It was just the speed of the thing. String changes at that speed with a pick and the left hand speed was just a bit too much. Quote
