stef030
I have a mim p bass, hate it with a vengance, been playing jazzes since the early seventies, got this to see if I could get on with it, as a firm believer that you can only get a rough idea with a 20 minute noodle in a shop,I bought this one, which in its self is a nice thing, dark red with a rosewood board, plays well, low action ect, just very much not for me after trying for ages to get on with it, so as soon as this old giffer can get round to learning how to post pics, its out off here so a trade my pbass and cash for another jazz, nice cheers stef Edited December 26, 2011 by stef030
Doctor J
whats the question/s?
My answer, I think, is Bacchus Woodline P Classic, about four years old now. Tried loads of Fenders, couldn't find one that excited me. Strung with Elixirs, can get stupidly fat by manipulation of the tone control, can get bright and grolwy by leaving it be. Love it.
The Dark Lord
If you wanna have that signature clank and rumble (with a hint of grand piano) P bass sound, you gotta use rounds ...... be proud of the swish sound.
Blademan_98
I didn't vote as I was unsure if it was bass owed or wanted I could have ticked every year if it meant basses not owned........ Only Jazz or P/J for me

ead
Sorry can't help the dislexia... What I was trying to ascertain is that for those owners of a Precision Bass(es), how old is it/are they and what is it/are they strung with. Don't see why you can't include a Chistmas list item that Santa cruelly overlooked if you want?

stef030
theres probally a little misunderstanding going on,as I said in my original post, although I said I dislike my p bass, this is just my opinion,it plays well, the actions low, ect, ect it is just that I cannot get on with it. the neck is wider than my jazzes and it just does not feel right,I personally cannot get it to sound the way thatI want and therefore cant get on with it,so therefore its me not the bass, the bass is good, just not for me,so to say that I have the worst pbass onthe planet is a bit harsh to say the least, and as a couple of posts above have said their basses are good, as I said and will say again the problem is me not the bass cheers stef

Immo
As for now, I'd like 51', 57' and MiJ 80's, with either Flats or Tapewounds.
Further pedant alert: I assume you mean dyslexia? As to the question, well I didn't vote because I didn't find an option that said 'None - I don't like Precision basses'. Which, for me at least, makes any question that might be there irrelevant. Tips to the OP (in case it isn't already blindingly obvious): 1. Even if it seems too obvious to say it, ask the question anyway. The purpose of a poll is to get an answer to a question. 2. If you can, try to include a 'get out' or 'spoiler' option for the small number of poor benighted suckers who don't adhere to your world view of (in this case) the bass guitar.
