bartelby Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Other item is a Squier Tele with a Fender Custom Shop decal on the back of the headstock. In "Pale Black" no less! I guess it's ok as he says it's a Squier, so no one can think they're actually buying a real Fender CS. Edited December 29, 2011 by bartelby Quote
Nibody Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I love Precisions. But I wouldn't use that one to prop open the outhouse door. Quote
Ou7shined Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011
I love Precisions. But I wouldn't use that one to prop open the outhouse door.
Looks like the neck has been used to get rid of a 3 flusher. Quote
woodyratm Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Please tell me, people actually WANT instruments which look that abused?! It looks like someones found in the tip! Quote
tauzero Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I was watching Fifth Gear earlier, and the bloke with the Hitler moustache on his chin was going on about the rugged good looks of Landrover's concept replacement for the Defender, so I think there's a target market for taste-impaired twats with Hitler goatees. As evidence, I present the concept car in question: Quote
Grandad Paul Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I will never begin to understand why anyone would want to do that to a guitar, or anything else for that matter. What is even worse to me is that someone would want to own it. As for the Land Rover. Well words escape me. Quote
paul_5 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Looks like he decided to strip it back to the bare wood and changed his mind. Disgusting. Quote
Sean Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) I think he should have spent the time more wisely, like learning to spell the word, Squier properly! It's easy to spell, you just copy it one letter at a time from the website. It's like all those idiots that reply to me on email spelling my name Shaun or Shawn, it's not like you have to guess how to spell it, you just copy it from the screen! the boy Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 These guys are getting worse at this. They used to turn out some tidy relic jobs but of late they are really getting carried away. It's as though they have become desensitised to what's enough. This guitar looks like it was found in tutan-kamuns hidden vault. Their work no longer corresponds with what's a realistic relic. About 18 mths ago I seriously bid on one of these guitars and followed it up to about £180 but had to call it a day as I couldn't justify it anymore. It was beautifully done and if I had the money I would probably have bid more, there is no way I would bid on any of these latest jobs. I'm a fan if relics I think done well with no intention to deceive they look awesome. Quote
Bassdude BE Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) I must have a very bad taste then ,because i kinda like it (for a <150GBP cheap squier bass) but then again i've started out as a metal/punkrock dude,so that might be the reason for my bad taste... the hand of john curley Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 This is just awful! As for the neck!!!!' sweet baby Jesus and the orphans....my 4 year old twins could've done a better job! "very lettle" ????? The div can't even spell! And if he honestly thinks anybody with an ounce of sense or taste would entrust their instrument to him for his "unique" style of distressing...he must be more deluded than his belief that this bass is any good!!!! MUPPET!!!!! Rant over ! Quote
