Legion Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011
what is the difference between the "new" and the "old" model ? It's two years old.... and I used it twice only....
The older one puts 1000w (bridged) into an 8 ohm load, the new one is 1000w bridged into a 4 ohm load.
dafonky Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) mine has a recommended min. load of 8 Ohms in bridged mode , so it's the old model... but most speakers are 8 ohms, if you use two of them you can run the amp stereo and you have 2 x 350 = 700 Watts. if you use one 8 ohm speaker, using bridge mode is 1000 watts.... ok, if you only have one speaker with 4 ohms.... it's a less...the amp delivers 500 watts into 4 ohms to one channel but most standalone speakers can't accept 1000 watts anyway..... fabinosto Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 What about 2 ohms with the Puma 1000 ? It's possible I think, no ?
fabinosto Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Yes, but 2 cabs 4 ohms both is possible I think.
