Murph_Orpheus
The digitech bass whammy was discontinued wasnt it? Does the normal digitech whammy work just as good on basses?
truegeminis
I've never tried the Bass Whammy, but I do own the regular (red) version and it works fine. I use the octave up/down a lot and the detune (chorus type effect) has also been used a lot. It's one of my favourite and most used pedals that I have. Murph_Orpheus
Yeah I think I'll pick it up. Its a shame the Bass Whammy has been discontinued, from the videos I've seen of people using it it sounds amazing.
Kev
the difference in sound is minimal, just different harmonies you'l be fine with the current reisue i would think, if you want the 'tool' harmonies though, get a xp100 off ebay
Murph_Orpheus
Yeah I was looking at the xp100. And I am a big fan of Tool and the way Justin Chancellor uses the whammy. Would the xp100 be a better option then? Edited March 31, 2008 by Murph_Orpheus
