Sibob
Yeah, Yamahas haven't completely been off the Radar....but I am a bit of a Fender fan-boy lol, can't help it . My current plan is to try heavier strings on my Jazzes, 45-105s, as I've been using 40-100s for years. Specifically on the '73 I'm gonna try flats, to try and get some deeper thump as that tends to sound thinner than the '03 (On account of the bridge pickup placement I assume). We'll see Si
PauBass
If you are thinking of going down the Fender PJ route, I'd highly recommend the Aerodyne non export models, I got one recently here on the forum and I couldn't be happier They are not too expensive and the finish and sound on them is top notch, everywhere I play I have always people coming up to me an asking about the bass an commenting on how good the tone is, P bass tone is there and the barking Jazz bass tone is there too, mix the two pickups and the punch you get is immense. I'd seriously recommend looking into them, give one a try if you can. Right now you have this one up for sale here on the forum: http://basschat.co.u...ort-price-drop/ Edited January 5, 2012 by PauBass
