Linus27
So the start of another year, what does everyone have GAS for in 2012? I would like the following, EBS Reidmar 250 amp EBS Classic 110 or 112 x 2 off Double Bass
dudewheresmybass
I'm pretty happy with my rigs ATM, but if I was to happen across an old aria sb series at a good price.... I'm also looking to get the new boss fb2 and am looking forward to seeing what is being released at namm soon including the new mxr bass fuzz deluxe I am the happiest with all of my gear that I ever have been, and can't really think of anything else that I would want! Linus27
Yeah bass wise, I am also very happy for once. Yes there are a few basses that I would love in the collection but they will probably only be played now and again and I could easily miss owning them. Randy_Marsh
Got GAS for an EBS Multi-Comp/MXR M87...
BluRay
Early onset GAS for a slightly more portable rig. As yet unspecified. Dilemma pending!! And a Yamaha 2024x !
kevin_lindsay
I'm looking fir an Aguilar Filter Twin for my bass. Also, I'm really pleased with the result of my Fender Eric Johnson Strat, so I'm thinking of refinishing my Olympic White '62 USA reissue Jazz Bass in Shell Pink!!!! rOB
Pretty happy with the setup at the moment but I do have severe Band-Acquisition-Syndrome. Depending on the band I may develop a "need" for pedals
LiamPodmore
2 Ashdown ABM 2x10's, My uncles '82 Japanese Precision, Stingray 4/5, Line 6 Relay G90, Tech 21 VT Deluxe, Boss OC-2, Boss TU-2/3 and i don't know what else, maybe some Source Audio gear. JTUK
I don't need anything. Very happy with the basses and no 1 rig. Might swap out a few things ( cabs) for no 2... but only if the right thing at the right price appears.
paul_5
AFAIK I won't need any new gear for 2012, when has that ever stopped me?
Blademan_98
Bass wise, I'm happy enough but I have severe GAS for a giggable amp rig. Probably a class D with light weight cabs. At the moment the GAS is just for the rig but will get more specific as the first gig with the new band gets closer.
tonyf
EBS Reidmar 250 amp
+1 Gonna be getting myself one of those once Christmas bills have been paid. Not that I need one. The TC Classic 450 is a super amp but just missing the EBS tone I had with my old HD350. Bass-wise, pretty happy. Lozz196
A Fender Duff McKagan Signature Bass.
mckendrick
Always gassing. New year, old year, any year. Lemme think.... L-series Jazz Sadowsky V4 with a tasty top EBS 350, 2x10, 1x15 Winning lottery ticket Not much, really.
icastle
Work situation dependant, but the main musical project for 2012 is going to be converting the brick built barn into a studio - at about 15' x 30' that's going to be a major piece of work. I've budgeted on the high side for that, so one of those dinky little Ibanez Promethean amps to save lugging 2x10 and amp head to acoustic gigs has sneaked onto the list. If I can remove some of the labour costs by learning how to plumb, roof and plaster then my SR505 is getting a little old and battered now so maybe an SR5005 (if I can find one to try out first!). Machines
Quite fancy a Fender Precision after somehow going through 10 years of bass without ever having one. Sunburst with red tort pickguard, rosewood neck and some D'Addario Chromes, yes please ! Realistically, i'll probably sell my T-Bird & Overwater J as they're seeing the least usage currently, actually that would raise be enough to buy a 2nd hand MIA P. Ampwise - my Ashdown ABM is plenty for my needs with one 2x10 cab so doubt that will change.
L_Bass_Dog85
Bought my a rig from my GAS list the other day. An Ashdown 410T cab and an Ashdown Mag 300H head. Just need to pay the rest of the money and the warehouse can allow me to pick it up! Its like paying bail money to get your loved one out of jail... lee4
A PJ bass and a fretless. And the money to buy them!
Cat Burrito
I *may* respray my Jazz but I'm still succeeding in gassing for not having gas. A Gretsch orange hollowbody bass tempted me today but I stayed strong
Clarky
Nothing gear-wise as I've just tracked down a fretless Mach 1 Wal and have two good rigs (one electric, one DB). If anything I now have too much gear and I may be a net seller this year (the uber-heavy Corvette fretless has to go for sure)I do GAS for more gigs in 2012 as the logistic constraints of Rattlin Bone (we are spread from the South Coast to Scotland) plus some illnesses in the band kept us to only a handful of gigs after a flurry of summer festival dates. Here GAS is of course gig acquisition syndrome Edited December 31, 2011 by Clarky
andydye
I have pre-ordered my antacid for next year.in the form of a Lakland 55-02 so that and having completely changed my rig in 2011 has exhausted my gas issues... I do totally agree on the gig acquisition though!!! I do really want to try a Wal fretless to see what all the fuss is about though and one day I'll buy a Sadowsky UV70 too Edited December 31, 2011 by andydye
Cyrene
Jag CP HH.... 6 string.... :ducksforcover:
clauster
A Barefaced Midget, my P-bass keeper and an Epiphone Jack Cassidy (or a Warwick Star Bass 2 if I come into serious money unexpectedly). I'd also like to find a small class-d head I like and a Jazz Bass I like too.
clauster
Not GAS, but other things to do musically..... Find a project that can manage to get together more than once a month. Get some lessons to break the bad habits and ruts I've fallen into over the last few years.
fender73
Status GAS for me
