franzbassist
Having had a major change of gear in 2011 (three new basses and a complete change of amplification) I am hoping that 2012 will be a much quieter year for me!
pantherairsoft
However I have my eye on a couple of guitars and some electronic devices for making and manipulating weird sounds. What I really want though is to find a really good studio in Nottingham to record the next Dick Venom single. Any Ideas?
Moot. Johnny Carter's (Ex-Pitchshifter) place. Some awesome guitar based rock stuff coming out of there. As for GAS... nothing. I need to sort out some ergonomics with my bass/basses due to impending health issues, but nothing on my 'want' list. Not even effects... now that unheard of!
bartelby
Soundblox Envelope Filter Pro....
On my list too. Missed out just before New Year. Decided to delay my visit to Bass Direct by a day and they'd sold out. Also on my list: EHX Hog Zoom B3 Might get rid of my 4x8" cab in favour of another 1x15"

mcgraham
I have some slight anti-GAS to get rid of stuff I'm not using and pare my gear down to the minimum. I don't have any defined GAS, but I'd like to get some dirt pedals (OD, gated fuzz) and possibly a smallish keyboard synth like the Moog Little Phatty II. Clarky72
I have pretty bad GAS at the moment... Aria SB1000 Aria SB700 Kubicki Ex Factor Plus I really need a good light rig for the pub gigs. Carting around the Ampeg BA500 is killing my back, its only a 2x10 combo but weighs more than my car!

steve-soar
Double bass, my old Jaydee Mark King, (I know where it is but it is a very delicate matter), 1966 Jazz or Precision, Moog pedals.

bremen
Quite fancy a Fender Precision after somehow going through 10 years of bass without ever having one. Sunburst with red tort pickguard, rosewood neck and some D'Addario Chromes,
All that, and Japanese? You just described mine perfectly. But you can't have it. Sorry! I'm going to build a 100W combo with a single ten in it, for practising and to sit on top of my two 15s to add some clank.

discreet
Very happy with my rig the way it is... having a custom P built which I'm very much looking forward to... want to have a look at the new Zoom B3 FX/Amp Sim/DI box when it finally arrives... http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/b3/ and looking forward to doing many more gigs in 2012... it's all good! . The Dark Lord
Dammit. I accidentally watched that clip of Talking Heads on The Old Grey Whistle Test and I now "need" a Fender Mustang bass. I guess that's what it was? Now she's a proper bass player.
JetKing
Being realistic I'd be happy with a giggable rig in the next few weeks and a Sansamp or similar later in the year. Or if my New-Job-AS bears fruit then some more goodies might be on the cards....

mononick
like a lot of people i could do with a small loud rig! getting sick of carting my big amp to certain gigs where it seems overkill. a natural body for my p bass would be nice and a really decent short scale would be killer as well! Marvin
Really am wondering whether to get one of these in the TLB. Not sure what the band is doing, it's on hold at the moment and doesn't seem to be awakening from its slumber so I don't really need it, but....... dbass
I am getting my custom Dingwall in May so that's about all I have planned... For the first time in my gigging life I am 100% happy with my rig(s). Genz Benz 12.0 w/ EBS 4x10 (and 2x12 for bigger gigs) Genz Benz 3.0 w/ 2 x 110 Genz Speakers. Both rigs sound éffin great and had compliments from other players and even the crowd!! Saying that...those Genz 4x10 cabs look nice STOP! Linus27
So the start of another year, what does everyone have GAS for in 2012? I would like the following, EBS Reidmar 250 amp EBS Classic 110 or 112 x 2 off Double Bass
Well my GAS is going very well so far this year. I have the EBS Reidmar which sounds amazing. I have the EBS Classic 112 which also sounds amazing. However, I now have GAS for the following, A Fender Japan Jazz 66B in white with matching headstock, blocks and binding. Yummy.
