M-N-Y
Hello All, Sorry if this sounds like a daft question but I have been searching for a new pick guard for my Geddy Lee Ltd Edition jazz. There seem to be quite a few different types of Jazz pick guard available, including some Geddy lee specific ones on some American sites. Is there anything to stop me fitting a standard jazz pick guard allowing me access to the truss rod adjustment at the same time? Any and all advice gratefully received and appreciated, Cheers, Mark. jezzaboy
I think the problem is that the screw holes don`t match up on some of the non original fender types and on some fender ones as well. I have bought a cheapish one before and the shape was slightly different. Regarding the truss rod adjustment, a few mins with a small bevel edged file will sort that out. M-N-Y
I have been looking at the pick guards on the Allparts site and some are direct fender replacements I think, I guess some of the cheaper ones may not be. Cheers Jez, Mark.
Lozz196
I`ve got all of my replacement ones from Axesrus: http://www.axesrus.com/AxePlatesBass.html The spec diagram is excellent, you can easily measure up, and find out if it will fit or not.
