Spare battery pack (Sony - PCGA BP71A 14.8v/3000mAh), no idea how often it was charged used and also a slot in floppy drive (i.e. you remove the CD/DVD drive and this fits in the slot). Free if you can collect (NE24) or pay for delivery and I'll post.

No worries, it was a spare with the SONY and would have been used at some point but hasn't been in a laptop for a few years (laptop died years ago). If you take the battery do you want the floppy as a spare or for emergencies (it is a genuine integral SONY part and does go into the actual laptop not an external drive)?

is the code on this the code of a specific Vaio laptop?? Will it fit any Vaio?? I have a Vaio which hasn't had a battery now for a year or so. I would like a genuine sony replacement and not one of these chinese ones that require you to flash your bios etc. I have tried google but to no avail.

The code that I've given was taken directly from the battery, there are a couple of other serial numbers etc. on there if it helps!

I need a yay or nay back from Voxpop before I can offer elsewhere though.

Stick the code into Ebay, & if there's one for sale, it'll usually give you a list of laptops it'll fit.
