Mog Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Morning all. Spent yesterday evening rummaging through my vast array of pedals only to find that, to my horror, the switch on my beloved Ibby Phat Head has given up the ghost. Does anyone know if these are hard to source and install? Quote
MarkBassChat Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I don't know whether it is hard to source and install but I think that it shouldn't be to difficult to fix the one that is already installed. Have you looked at it? It may be just a wire and not the switch. Mark Quote

[/quote] Well the switch itself is easily replaceable but getting hold of a suitable one might be awkward - they're generally PCB mounted for ease of assembly on a production line, so it'll really need to be exactly right if you want it to fit properly. Are you sure it's the switch that's gone? Quote
Mog Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Cheers for the replies lads. Its definitely the switch that's gone. I was talking to a mate today and he heard that it was a problem which was common to the first run of the pedal. I reckon a quick email to Ibby will sort it. They should be able to recommend a suitable replacement switch. Quote
rOB Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Good luck with fixing it. I'm really getting into my Phat Head at the moment. Quote
Mog Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Cheers rOB. They're a fantastic pedal. Even the clean setting is excellent. I'll let you know what I hear back from Ibby. Quote
Mog Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Just an update. No word back from Ibby or Headstock................ Time for a smoke and a strongly worded email. Quote
