Mrbigstuff Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 im loving the flame maple fingerboard on the precision Quote
Mykesbass Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) Not a fan of flame finishes (bodies that is, like it on necks and boards) - the Koa Tele is lovely though. Hmmm, just seen prices, Koa Tele $2,499! Edited January 4, 2012 by Mykesbass Quote
wateroftyne Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Meh. They look like the Jap fotoflames. Quote
Musicman20 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012
Meh. They look like the Jap fotoflames.
+1. The P bass looks VERY boring. They should have given birdseye necks, better colours, a better pickguard, and a quality set of PJ pups on the P. I really don't like the flame body with white guard on the P. Quote
Musicman20 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I agree though that the Jazz is nice. Love a rosewood board with pearl blocks, (not keen on maple with black blocks). That does look like its a little bit special. The P looks a bit 'meh'. Quote
Guest MoJo Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I wouldn't mind the P neck on my Precision. Very pretty Quote

Panamonte Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I'm amazed that no one has commented on the ludicrous publicity shot. What's that all about???!!! Quote

Musicman20 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Think the publicity shot is basically 'if you have money to waste on girls and hotels, you can buy an overpriced Fender'. Quote

Kempy535 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 the P-bass is almost the same colour as the foto flame Strat I have Quote
wateroftyne Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Maybe he's just realised that while he was up to no good with that lassie, his plate of beans'n'mash have got cold? Quote
Clarky Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Are we even sure those are his real legs? They look like they are from a ventriloquists' dummy, sewed on to the bottom of his jacket. I think his real legs and lower torso are hidden inside the fake chair. Perhaps the ad was directed by David Lynch? Quote
The Bass Doc Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 The lassie in question doesn't seem to have been overly impressed. The bloke is now watching a certain type of programme on the TV and is making use of those 'through' pockets in his suit Quote

Re: the Jazz Bass. Quite liking it tho' would have prefered seeing it in a darker burst (like the one on the P-bass, maybe) and dot markers. I'm so used to a binding around a neck with blocks. Die hard, or what? Didn't notice the 'knurled knobs' as described on the 'Details' page, and would be interested to get a much closer look at the "stealth string retainer".... . Ben Jamin Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012
Meh. They look like the Jap fotoflames.
That's what I thought! Saw their Select Strat and thought 'Hang on, my brother's got on of these' A lot cheaper and with all the pick-up/electronics upgrades he's made I'd imagine a better guitar too! Quote
