Cool, a LOT of the BCR's that came into the UK ended up in Wales :-)

The shop I used to help out at in Cardiff was the UK distributor for a while in the 80s, got to see LOTS of fantastic Riches!

Let me kick off this new forum with a thread dedicated to all the wonderful guitars owned by Basschat members.

And to start in true BRX style here's my most recent 6-string acquisition - the Hallmark Wing-Bat:

Based on the Hallmark Swept Wing design and endorsed by George Bariss of 60s Batmobile fame (amongst others), this is a limited edition of 100.

New toy, Adam Black Apollo, been after one for ages, thru-neck with Grover tuners for under £200, couple of small dings but otherwise great. Sure it's not a custom shop les Paul, but it's an incredibly playable guitar. Pics from the previous owner:

I scored a Wilkinson VS100C convertible trem in March - rare as rockinghorse poo and a great design for locking the trem when not in use. But it was in gold so I set about replacing the chrome hardware with gold. Mr Shuker also installed and routed for the trem so it floated properly. Apart from pickup screws still being chrome, the rest of the guitar is complete.

When I got the guitar in 2006, it looked like this:

Very nice. :gas: Shame it's not a lefty really... :ph34r:

Eggle used to fit those trems to their guitars at one time. I spoke to Rob Williams about it a while ago when he was building my guitar - in fact I asked whether he could get one, but he told me there'd been a lawsuit as a result of which they'd had to stop making them. Shame really, as it was an excellent bit of kit.

They are very good and I've been looking for one since I bought the guitar in 2006. I've found it doesn't bend to the point of where the strings are floppy like a floyd rose though but I don't do much dive bombing so no great loss. :)

Just recently finished this
[attachment=143271:IMG_1173.JPG]

Mahogany body and neck, Maple top with Walnut, Cherry, Laburnum, Maple and Blackwood binding. Wizard 'Novatron' pickup. It's a bit of a beast
[attachment=143272:IMG_1170.JPG][attachment=143273:IMG_1175.JPG]

I like the way it looks kind of folksy, but can sound like it wants to rip your head off.

I love it! When i first got it (used) the strings were too light and the floating bridge made things a bit of a nightmare. I've since lowered the action and gone to 12 gauge strings and everything is much,much better now. I play in an indie/alternative rock covers band and the other members have all commented on the looks and sound of the Ibanez. The result is the strat isnt getting a look in nowadays. Feedback can be a bit hairy on high gain settings though.
All in a wonderful guitar after a set up :-)

heres my guitars, i'm a poor boy so cant afford massively expensive gear, but heres my modified squier strat:

clear scratchplate, grounded and shielded (no pickup hum!) clear knobs and pickup holders, hotrail, and all electrics replaced with American Standard Strat ones. currently has Red Devils on but I'm not too keen on them, far too thin:

and my Galveston acrylic Flying V:

I used to have a plexi guitar in my late teens/early 20's (which would have made it early/mid 70's) - made by Shaftsbury, copied from the Dan Armstrong original. At the time it was the nicest guitar I'd owned by a distance. I do remember it being quite heavy though - looks like a lot of acrylic on that flying V. :o
