The shop I used to help out at in Cardiff was the UK distributor for a while in the 80s, got to see LOTS of fantastic Riches!

Would that have been Livewire?

I wish people would realise that staggering the ferrules does not change scale length. This is determined only by the distance between the bridge saddle and nut. The actual achievement is lowering the angle between the saddle and ferrule minimising the stress on the winding of the string making it less likely to break.

Apologies my wording could have been better, of course i didn't mean scale length. There you go your wish has come true!

Picked this up on Gumtree the other day for the bargain price of £150, including a TKL case.

Very impressed with the build & finish quality - I've seen plenty of Gibson ES335's that aren't as well made as this Tokai.

Just got this back from setup:

This originally belonged to the guitarist in my first band many years ago, who gave it to me as a fixer-upper, which I did, then it went to my sister for a while, then it sat in my Mum's front room for a few years when my sister moved abroad.

Sounds pretty monstrous with a bit of gain on.

Another new addition:

The premium Ibanez put on the fancy-topped models is ridiculous but I think I got a decent local Gumtree deal.
Overkill is my middle name.

Just got my Schecter C7 back from The Gallery, when it's been for it's Metal mods.... It's had a set of Bareknuckle Painkillers installed, the volume knob replaced with a on off switch and the tone control removed and replaced with a very metal looking bolt... The signal now goes pickups - pickup selector - output jack. nothing to go wrong when I'm throwing it around... also put some strap locks on it.

Portable Metal set up now complete... :)

Nice setup! \m/

I really happy with the whole set up, I can easily manage the guitar and amp head around London on public transport and for gigs the cabs both fit on a trolly which is also managable on the bus :) .I'm astounded how loud the mini rectifier is... It is 25 watts and I've never got it anywhere near half way on the master, despite an enthusiastic metal drummer.

It's #3 of a limited run of 12 Gretsch Anniversary models with a gold finish made for a music shop in the US last year.
It just happened to come up for sale in Bristol at the same time as I'd sold a pile of gear I wasn't using so I had to have it.
I've always loved Gretsch guitars. :)
I do love a Gretsch 6120 type. I miss my old Streamliner, but it did go to fund a Stingray.

I did the opposite - flogged pretty much all my bass stuff & bought this. :)
