That's a fantastic shape - I love the Klein stuff.
It's obviously used the Ovation Breadwinner/Deacon shape as a reference but has been tweaked enough to be different.

I look forward to seeing that when it's finished.

Sadly if I can't find a new bass player it may soon be for sale :-(

This is my 1978 Martin D28. I am the original owner. I bought the guitar at Sudbury Music in Sheffiled and it cost me £525. The guitar has aged along with me and I have to say that the Martin just keeps getting better and better - unlike me!

My Klein copy. Moses neck, Steinberger R trem and a NZ beech body which sounds a lot like a cross between the warmth of alder but the spank of swamp ash. Redwood top from years ago and Tru-oil finish. I've still yet to install the controls and the sustainer circuit. There are space issues in the control cavity which need planning around. But its coming together.

For a gang of bass players there's a hell of a value of guitars in here. I know guitarists with less :)

Makes my collection of beat acoustics look very tame

I love the Fylde electric, I didn't know that Roger had ever made an electric.

My guitar.
I got the neck from a friend at school, he bought it as a working guitar, pale blue metallic Strat copy with twin humbuckers and a coil tap. Somewhere along the line it lost its body and I got the neck.

The body came from a parts ad in the back of Guitarist and then got abused. The frount routed body got capped with a thin layer of wood where necessary and the control cavity was drilled through to allow access from the back. The floating bridge had the bit under the string clamps milled out to allow for pull up bends and after muchos filling and sanding it was treated to a couple of rattle cans of metallic green, I think it's a Vauxhall colour, but I can't remember.

I'm fairly sure that the pups are Kent Armstrong but quite honestly, it's been so long that I've forgotten. It may be a collection of bits, but it was me wot done it, it's mine and I love it :D

Long gone
Epiphone Wildcat (turquise)
1969 Fender Telecaster Bigsby (CAR refin)

Epiphone "dot" elitist (cherry)

1990something Gibson ES-335 (cherry, bigsby)

Your wish is my command!

Two DPDT switches, one phase-invertor for the middle pickup, and one "master series-parallel" switch. Both work independent from eachother, the series-parallel in conjunction with the 5-way.

Here is what the switching does in terms of the 5-way switch

Phase off, S/P off: neck / neckmid parallel / mid / midbridge parallel / brug (standard strat wiring)
Phase off, S/P on: neck / neck / neckmid serie /midbridge parallel in series with neck / neckbridge series)
Phase on, S/P off: neck / neckmid parallel out phase / mid / midbridge parallel out fase / brug (standard strat with out-phase stands 2 & 4)
Phase on, S/P on: neck / neck / neckmid series out phase / midbridge parallel out fase, in series with neck /neckbridge series

I can make the strat growl like a LP, quack like an out-of-phase mustang and wail like a 335.

Amazing, you are the new John Birch! he had a similar intention on this SG that he customised,

how long did it take you to memorise all your options?

Half an hour? Since I invented and wired the thing myself, I know what switch does what. The one closest to the neck is the phase switch, the other one is the SP switch. It's nice to dial in a new sound very quickly, without having to tweak amp-settings (I can go from a chimey strat to a roaring neck humbuckerlead with the flick of a switch). It's my "trash around-guitar", I'm not careful with it, it gets thrown against amps, but has never failed to work.

@krysh... pfoe, have to look that up: this is a very LO-FI setting, but if you want I'll record a cleaner one.
