current guitars are:

Hamer Chaparral.
- Early 90's active model, made in USA and with boomers on the fretboard. Fantastic for widdle and whammying, but also extremely versatile. By far my faviourite neck, flat thin and fast.

Epiphone Jay Jay French Twisted Pinkburst Signature Les Paul.
- Had to buy it just for the Twisted Sister connection. Covers all LP ground, but has a coil tap so again pretty versatile. Pink so always creates a stir.

Gibson Melody Maker Flying V.
- white with black pick guard. One H pup and a single volume pot so it's not designed to be anything other than a rock machine. Sounds great and is sooooo pretty! Had to buy due to the insanely low brand new price.

Will put up pics soon.

Awesome! Chaparrals are great guitars (as are all Hamers IMO).
Boomers are the coolest inlays ever.
Has yours got the sustainiac built in or not?

Love it but les Paul's hurt my arm. Toying with selling it tbh. But I'm not sure it's worth it at the value. Damn cool looking though (imho!)

This was a 1962/63 Burns "Jazz Split Sound" guitar, and then punk came, and turned a nice guitar into this... Bashed, bruised and utterly beaten. The nut was missing, so it was filled with a piece of bamboo... I carved a new nut, so now the strings stay in place.

(the finish on the back of the neck (thick polyester) was flaking off, leaving all kinds of jagged edges and flakes. But the body seemed in fairly good shape, with just one ding at the lower bout. I thought I could preserve the original finish by using an X-acto knife, and an immense amount of patience. So I started cutting away the whitish-blue graffiti on the body. First day was over, and the front & back were done...

Day 2: started doing the sides (those are curved, so it's hard to slice away the white goo there, I had to work careful and calm, but it came out fairly nice. Then I buffed the finish back to a gloss, taking with it the last remnants of white that bled into the original black finish...

The finish on the neck & headstock was FUBAR, so that had to go. It was TOUGH! The finish was 1.5mm thick, with a basecoat that resembled effervescent glue (brittle, but VERY tough), so I scraped that away with a small plane. The wood underneath it was raw and unfinished. It was sanded with something as coarse as a grit 80 sandpaper, and the toolingmarks were still there. So I sanded it flush, and gave it some coats of black lacquer. Then handbuffed it, and assembled the guitar back together...

Now I have to look for a pickguard, as this one is kinda damaged (it's held together from the inside with tape). I contacted Burns, and they can make me one with the correct markings, in the correct material, with all the engravings, but that will set me back 175£, and I don't know if that's worth it... The guitar in the punk-condition did cost 25€...

Hi. :)

I pop in here how and again but have not joined in yet.

I also visit "The Dark Side" - things with skinny strings that wail
in the night!!

Here are some of mine.

Perhaps one of my favourite Peavey T-60's - Yes, I have a whole bunch of
them, as well!! :gas:

Something a bit special from Ibanez. ;)

Finally, one of my favourite photgraphs.
To get this shot took me several hours!!!
Pro Photogs please feel free to point out any of my failings!! :P
I like it!

Peter Cook Twin Neck, from around 1973-74.

Hi. :)

In the UK, anything from £250, slightly battered and possible
alteration to the electrics, no original case to dealer prices for
a good one with original case - £495.
http://www.classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/guitar/peaveyt60tb.htm

I have collected mine over the years so would sit around the
middle of that for a nice one.
I have been thinking of breaking down the collection of T-60's
for a couple of years now, so if you are interested, let me know.
Got all sorts - Early Toaster/Slab and later Blade/Contoured.

Really nice guitars - only really appreciated once you have actually
played one! :)

Cheers. :)

My Gibson Les Paul Buckethead Signature (2010 model)...I dont expect many to like this ;)

Owned a few high end guitars, but I really feel for this one. Larger chambered body, ebony fretboard just played and sounded so good ..and kill switches for madeness.

Well, as my LGX-SA is still awaiting repair (don't ask..!) I'm 'making do' with this -

She's my old LGX (2 voice) that I sold to a friend to finance the repairs to the SA...

I had a Guitar Guitar voucher that needed spending so had them order me the GK-3, intending to fit it to my Variax, but Robert very kindly offered to sell the LGX back to me on incredibly reasonable terms as he knows how much I love this guitar.

I haven't done much more than fit the pickup and controller (still needs tweaked), but it's sounding great so far..!

The output options are pretty flexible; so far I'm running the electric signal into the GK controller, outputting stereo synth and electric separately from a GR-33 and sending the acoustic from the Godin straight to whatever is handy; PA, amp, etc.

shortly before it found it's way to my hands it had a fret dress or something- it plays lovely, silly low action, Yummy :) sounds good even through the piece of poo £15 amp I have- I took it to my old church and plugged it into the very nice orange valve 2*12 and wooooo.
I think that a valve amp and that tone is a good reason to be a guitarist
