Home design, home build. Back is mahogany, top is Yew. Neck is a 'restyled headstock' (OK - sawn-off  ) strat 'v' profile. Bareknuckle pups with SD switch options in the Pup rings and optional mid coil through a push-push tone. Lovely to play and can sound from acoustic to hard rock.

Picked this up at the weekend. Gretsch 5135 Corvette. Loving the Bigsby, far prefer it to the trem on my strat (which I ended up blocking due to tuning stability issues). Seems very stable and it feels great to use, lovely and smooth/controllable. Bridge pickup is stonking, not sure about the neck, seems a bit muddy but I havent used it in anger at rehearsal yet so we'll see.

Let me kick off this new forum with a thread dedicated to all the wonderful guitars owned by Basschat members.

And to start in true BRX style here's my most recent 6-string acquisition - the Hallmark Wing-Bat:

Based on the Hallmark Swept Wing design and endorsed by George Bariss of 60s Batmobile fame (amongst others), this is a limited edition of 100.

I need one!

Very rough and ready shot of my 2 main guitars, a Gordon Smith semi-hollow Gypsy bought from a fellow BC'er and an MIJ Jazzmaster dating from (I think) 1998 from the serial number. The pickups were dire so I replaced them with a pair of MOJO pickups '58 replicas and now it sounds great. The chrome knobs are also something I added as the original plastic ones were getting pretty filthy. It's also got a Mustang bridge as the original JM bridge is just ridiculous.
I like the Gordon Smith as it's very easy to play but there's just something about it that hasn't quite clicked with me so I'm in 2 minds about whether to keep it.

I've just bought a Limited Edition PRS SE Custom 24 Quilt Top for my 21st Birthday. I tried out lots of guitars & basses, but nothing compared to this!

Unfortunately, the pictures don't do the top justice!

2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Cherry Burst. This was taken the first day I got it a few years ago. Had always wanted one and well worth the wait! If only I was good enough to justify it! Edited by RichValentine

I'm not sure this qualifies a porn, but I think it's pretty and it did stop me mid Telecaster purchase. I've had it about 10 days now and have got it set up just right for me.

Having been inspired to play a bit more 6 string I've resurrected my DIY build, 15 watt amp (needed some rewiring as it was mute after years of living in the loft) and the 2 go together really nicely. Now I'm inspired to build a high spec overdrive pedal and I now have one on order.

Not mine, but my guitarists. Its a Strat, its old and tatty, and its back to front........a bit like him.

That looks great! I'm a big fan of P90s - the white looks great with the burst. I'm always surprised at the quality of the Cort instruments when I go to the trade shows!
Ta very much. It reminds me of The Fender Esprit model that Robben Ford used to use, its tone isn't a million miles away from that guitar either; if only I had Mr Ford's formidable talent to go with it :(

Charvel Desolation FR
Butter-like neck but too hot a guitar for my clunky strumming. Kept 'keeping it for a better day' until I realised I was a Fender ching-chang man.
Sold to eat into a CC debt.

Fender American Stratocaster 1991.
Traded a Tele for this and it has a really good neck. That being said, wish I had a tele as I keep clunking off the sweet spot above the middle pick up!

My most recent purchase ,a Santa Cruz 1927, 000 model acoustic guitar .
Always played Ovations , so I thought I would have a stab at a normal acoustic , pretty good so far .
