benebass
Lovely bass - it'll look great with one of Howard's tort plates on. The pickups remind me of this Jazz Bass prototype: - http://www.fender.com/en-GB/news/index.php/?display_article=
JTUK
That is a very rich body colour in those pics..I am not sure tort is going to work..?? My choice would be pearl tort plate And it looks a classic bass for a country gig.. with those big fat humB's

The Bass Doc
Just had a meet with WoT and this new addition to the herd. Nice one indeed! Nearly had to take a saw to my wrist once I had a death grip on the thing. Very versatile in the electronics department for a passive circuit and yet every setting provided something useable as opposed to extreme. Finish is mint - looks like it was made yesterday. We pondered over which type of tortoiseshell to use but it's not coming back for that until a couple of more gigs go by. I claim first dibs if it's ever up for sale ..........doubtful . BassBod
Great find WoT! I always fancied the fiver...but the overall size and weight put me off (and now they're long gone). Roscoe made Fender earn their money on that one...a players bass indeed.

wateroftyne
I've just strung it up with nickels for tonight's gig (I'm on a temporary rounds kick!), and noticed a rattle at the headstock after I tuned it up. Spotted a couple of screws were a bit loose on the Hipshots, tightened them up, and all's well! It's really light, but so resonant. it sustains forever. Howard spotted that it seems to be a single piece of alder. We can't see a join anywhere. This thing is so rich and fat... *sigh*

Musicman20
As long as the tort isnt that MIJ/CIJ bright red tort, it will look great.
apa
For Pick guard - anything BUT white looks good. I keep looking at this and Im liking it more and more. My imagination and modding bug is working overtime on the 5 pup onto 4 strings. Damn I might do that on my J bitza deluxe. Im assuming this is do-able on Jazz pups to? However, from the specs quoted the bass would float away if you took that bridge off! LOL

If you look at the new Fender American Standard Bridges (2008-) the backplate looks VERY similar to this one on WoTs.
daz
Never heard of Roscoe Beck, sounds like some character out of Dukes of Hazzard?. The bass however looks very fine. Congrats are in order Sir.
ezbass
Never heard of Roscoe Beck,
Check him out he's properly awesome. Not flash (except maybe for his two hand tri tone stuff) but great taste, tone, etc. Has played with many top rate artists and is currently MD on Leonard Cohen's never ending tour. http://roscoebeck.com/ One of my fave players, influences and bass heroes. My favourite albums of his are his solo album (not your usual bass solo album, just good songs with a smorgasbord of other talented musos) and The Blue Line first album with Robben Ford. OK that's enough gushing Edited January 8, 2012 by ezbass
Bigwan
Threads like this give me GAS... I had a Roscoe Beck V for a time and wonder now why I ever parted with it! Easily the most tonally flexible passive bass you can get and hard to find nowadays. Health to enjoy WoT! A search for one of these could be the excuse I need to do another wee gear cull... Prime_BASS
I dont like Fenders at all, but some of the artist series are really nice and experimental. The Roscoe Beck is one I've wanted to try for years.
