jackers Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 i wish i could afford something like this. one day...... seriously nice bass Quote
machinehead Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 That's lovely. These are great sounding basses. Enjoy it. Frank. Quote
bubinga5 Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 it is a 75.. but the spacing (for some reason) is set at the 60's position on the MIJ jazz basses Quote
Shaggy Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 (edited) My favourite look for a Jazz; natural ash with pearl blocks on maple. With a bit of aging patina that'll look even sweeter... I once saw one just like that (actual '70's) with a chrome Gibson humbucker installed at the neck position - sounds wrong, but looked perfect Edited January 7, 2012 by Shaggy Quote
LawrenceH Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012
it is a 75.. but the spacing (for some reason) is set at the 60's position on the MIJ jazz basses
But, that bass you are showing looks like 70s spacing, not 60s hence my rather surprised question - it's hard to tell from photos so I may well be wrong. I have seen only one 75RI Jap jazz (that wasn't a Geddy or a Marcus) that had 70s spacing before. Quote

It does indeed look 70s. i judge it by how the pick up is pointing at the tone knob on a 70s and more at the bridge pick up volume knob on a 60s. Lovely bass either way. Frank. Quote
bubinga5 Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 oh maybe im wrong.. i hope its 70's position Quote
The Bass Doc Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You'll be happy to know that's definitely 70s position. Quote
swanbrook Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Beautiful colour combo if I was to buy another jazz that's how it would look right there Quote
MartyBRebelMC Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 very pretty - and nice grain pattern to the wood Quote
