Mystery bass

Any thoughts?
Guy has been very helpful in answering questions, but he can't verify the make or that it is definitely MIJ.

Looks solid enough, passive with brass nut and bridge.
Can anyone ID it?

It's a Kay.

I had two of them, at one time - surprisingly good.
Can suffer from Bridge "Bottom out" - mine didn't.

Thanks Eric,
The headstock made me think that might have been the case. Because of the wood colouring.
Were they MIJ?
I have my eye on this and a mates Shergold marathon for £50 more.

They were Korean made Corts. IMHO it's probably overpriced - you could pick up a Thunder 1A for considerably less.
