Jigster Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I love his grooves and his Stingray 'sound' is almost perfect to me. This from his Ataxia collaboration. What I like most about Lally is his absolute repetition of a phrase - it's beguiling because there seems to be movement but he essentially plays the same riff throughout. bartelby Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I'm a big fan of Joe's. One of the reasons I wanted a black and maple Stingray was because that's what he was playing the first time I saw Fugazi. Last time I saw him he was using a white Jazz, but it's his Stingray tone that I always associate with him. What I like about his stuff the most is he doesn't play too many notes, simple but spot on baselines. I love Ataxia, my favourite John Frusciante stuff. Quote
