bennyblu
Can anyone suggest somewhere / someone in Manchester where I can get a good bass guitar set up. Not bothered about cost just want quality. Thanks
Muzz
Phone Steve who works out of PMT in Salford. Top geezer, very good work and very reasonable. I think his site is theguitarrepairworkshop.com or somesuch. He's done some great work for me, including a really outstanding neck rout for my Fenderbird. He's on 0161 877 4962. Pow_22
+1 for Jack. Had a few basses pass through his very capable hands. Always a top job and really takes time out to see how you want it set up rather than just going right into it and setting up how he plays

[/quote] I'll second top marks for Steve Curtis, he's done work on both Warwicks and the 6er and he's a top bloke. Does a fantastic job in great time, he keeps me up to date with progress (he confesses it's easier to catch him by email than phone), and his prices are perfectly reasonable. I also go by what I know as the restaurant theory. I wouldn't go to an empty restaurant as it is probably empty for a reason. Same goes with Steve, his workshop is always full, yet he can always fit you in.
