discreet
It's in very good condition for a 1968 neck, isn't it? Edited January 11, 2012 by discreet
Jean-Luc Pickguard
Obviously from a squier telebass with a fake logo added.
Rick's Fine '52
Its not even a Squire, that headstock shape is very different to anything even remotely Fender related, and those tuners.................ewwwwww........not nice at all. And of course the horrible trussrod adjustment at the headstock end, someone's gonna be dissapointed!
bremen
Hello darren2005hotdogs, Hi, can you guarantee that this is a genuine Fender neck? I have never seen one with the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. It also seems to be in very good condition for its age; I'd have expected the nickel plating on the tuners to be a bit tarnished by now. This looks like recent chrome plating to me. Not suggesting that your listing is fraudulent, just that you might have bought something in good faith that isn't quite what you were told it is. http://tinyurl.com/74dndua Regards, DI Truscott (Of The Yard) Your message about Bass Guitar Neck has been sent to darren2005hotdogs. You should expect a response within 1-2 working days. A copy of this message was sent to your email address and is also in your Sent folder of My eBay. uke
Hopefully be pulled by Fender soon !
tauzero
He's put an amendment on the listing which seems reasonable, although the original description (but not the title) says it's Fender. I think it would have been more reasonable to pull and relist, but there you go.
discreet
Fair enough, I think he's done the right thing. No-one is going to think this is something that it's not.
Ou7shined
I hope the guys who have already bid over the odds for it notice the amendment. I see the reserve is still set presumably he still thinks it's worth a fair bit.
Rick's Fine '52
Isn't that a bit misleading as Fender have had headstock Truss Rods. Maybe not on tele style head stocks but they have used it.
It was me who emailed him, with a few points about the tuners and neck, i actually said that Fender didn't make a telecaster bass with the truss rod adjustment at the headstock end, or indeed any bass like that until the late 80's. He didn't say the whole thing in the ad revision. Fair play though, he's probably genuinly unaware of what he has. This was his reply to me "Ok i will do that, thank you for the info. It seems any info on this neck has come up pretty vague and blurry so any further info i'm given is gratefully received, ad will be amended immediately, thanks again"
