vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) Hi all, UPDATE - Both Ibanezes sold, Hohner still for sale at a greatly reduced £70 plus postage As I am shortly to be going back to guitar I am clearing the bass decks a little, and these three project basses are up for grabs at super bargain basement prices! PROJECT 3: This one is a Hohner B bass in red, great playing bass, but needs new electrics, pickups etc all there and I will throw in a new active circuit, only thing thats missing is the control cavity cover, which you can always cut out of an old pickguard! Price = £ 70 Above prices don't include shipping, Pick up a bargain! Edited February 2, 2012 by vmaxblues
threedaymonk Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I might be interested in the first one, once I've seen some pictures! Can I reserve first dibs, please?
Paul S Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Interested in 3, Hohner B Bass, but don't understand -' needs electrics but all there' - do you mean it is all there and just needs assembling? And pics, please.
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 will bang pics up when i get home guys and yes threedaymonk you have first dibs!
waynepunkdude Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Can I get 4th dibs? I don't want it unless 3 other people have rejected it.
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Paul, sorry that is a little misleading, all the pickups are there, and I will include a new active circuit with it, it will need the knobs too, hope that makes it clearer.
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Project 1 pics:
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Also worth mentioning I only have two of the original knobs for the Ibanez but I do have other ones I will include.
Paul S Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I think I will save my funds for a cab I am after. Thanks! Someone should take these - good prices.
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Hi mate, I am in Hereford and you are very welcome to come over and try them and have a cup of coffee too!
Bobby K Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Little bit too far from Liverpool, to be honest :-) Was being tempted by the Hohner. Had one for years, then defretted it and in turn regretted it haha :-)
threedaymonk Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I think I'll pass. It's a bargain, but needs a fair amount of effort! Relinquishing dibs …
Burg Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I think I can see my knees in this thread. Shame to hear you're getting rid of the Ibanez before you got it finished. I'd be interested in being kept updated in the restoration by whoever does buy it.
Immo Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Which pickup in the Ibanez is broken? I have Blazer pickup waiting for a decent body, if the MM style humbucker's broken, I just might be interested in buying this baby.
vmaxblues Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Its the bridge pickup. I am losing track of dibs here now....
grahamd Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I'll have to bail too Im afraid. Quote on refin/defret/new winding has put it out of my range atm. All the best
chaypup Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012
I think my heart broke when I read project 2
Actually, now the photos are up, it's not too bad. Having a little think about this one....
