Ou7shined Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Wow what a stunner! A lot of the old black basses have crazed a fair bit by now, this one appears to have escaped. (though there's nowt wrong with a bit of crazing if you ask me)
martthebass Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) This one and the 1976 'Marcus Miller a like' also up for sale are giving me good reason to stay away from this site at the minute. I can't afford these and a divorce.... Edited January 13, 2012 by martthebass
deepbass5 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Any pics of the back of the neck please. Thanks
lozbass Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Absolutely lovely, this takes me right back to a hundred dingy pubs and sticky carpets in the mid '70s! Wonderful condition and what a classic look.

JakeFoordBass Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 It's both a good thing and a bad thing you're not based in Liverpool. Mainly the bad side of things.
PauBass Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Thanks for all the comments guys! It's indeed a great bass, in top condition, the finish is near perfect, considering its age, and the sound it's awesome...very sad having to sell it.
Stag Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Wow... Superb condition! I dont think this will be about long
simon1964 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Beautiful bass - if I hadn't just bought a '70s Precision I would have had this! I've done a couple of deals with Paubass in the past, and he is a great chap to deal with. Someone will get a a very nice bass at a very nice price Edited January 13, 2012 by simon1964
deepbass5 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Just Think this cost about £200 in 1975. Hindsight A !! Could i convince the wife £1600 is better off in this bass than in the bank

Lenny B Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 So there I am, playing along to a load of Floyd 'cos I'm doing a PF covers set in a couple of weeks, pointing out to my wife the amusing thread on BC about how to smuggle a new purchase past the other half, when this comes up, as a year-of-birth P-bass and my jaw visibly drops. Am now flummoxed. Not sure where to go from here. Beautiful. Time to sell a bass and win a bit on the lottery I think

Good investment and a lovely bass - you can't lose
deepbass5 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I'm Just hurting that I bought my first Precision ( Oly white 77) off John East in 1979 for £200 and worse still traded it in 1985 for £325
Guest MoJo Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 First that gorgeous Tokai Hardpuncher, now this.....when will the pain ever end .... WANT!
